Review

'Axel' grabs your attention right from the very first page, it's intense from the beginning, that's when we first meet Isabelle West, our heroine, she's trapped in a violent marriage living in constant fear, she's hopeless and like so many other unfortunate situations like this, one day the abuse hits an extreme.Flash forward two years...After leaving her abusive husband, with the support from her friends she is trying to move on with her life but she's far from being in a "good place" and her husband is still harassing her...I have to say that one of the things that I loved in this book is the way the author portraits the importance of friendship on Isabelle's recovery, on that note, it's also through one of her friends that someone really important from her past reappears. .. Enters "Feral", Dominant, Alpha-liscious 'Axel'... So, they meet again, but their reunion is not easy. In my opinion that is one of the elements that gives authenticity to the story, they both changed and given the circumstances, there's shock and animosity provoked by a series of misunderstandings.Their journey is not an easy one and they have to deal with some really tragic memories and overcome other complications, it's deeply emotional but not overly dramatic. There are some funny moments in it and some enjoyable banter between the two of them but when these two really get together, it's totally worth the wait: passionate, torrid, alpha-explosive.But, will this first love get a second chance? Well, that's for you to find out! So, if you haven't read it yet, don't miss the chance to read 'Axel'!Finally, I have to say that the writing is really good, great debut novel! I loved all the characters and can't wait to read the next book in this series. LOVED IT! READ IT!
