Losing Hope (Hopeless, #2) - Colleen Hoover
Last year, after reading 'Hopeless',in the days that followed I often caught myself thinking about this incredible story, this is one of the most heartbreakingly beautiful stories I've ever read: complex, intense, it deals with heavy subjects and some moments will leave you shattered, but it's so brilliantly written, with such sensitivity...it's perfect. Colleen Hoover is an incredibly talented writer, her characters are always strong, complex and memorable, every book is unique and original, every single one, a MUST READ! You really get emotionally invested in her books and 'Losing Hope' is no exception. It was a pleasure to read 'Dean Holder's' story, it was amazing to follow his journey:From the helplessness, guilt and grief for the loss of his sister..."I knew the girl who cried at night. I knew the girl who smiled in the pictures. But I didn't know the girl that linked that smile with those tears . I have no idea why you flashed fake smiles, but cried real tears." ...to finding 'Hope' again"I can't even explain to you how perfect this girl is. And when I say perfect, I mean imperfect, because there's just so much wrong with her. But everything wrong with her is everything that draws me in and makes her perfect" ...and to relive some of the most painful moments I've ever read, when he loses 'Hope' and all that follows... well, at this point I'm a sobbing mess (again). "But all I did was watch, when I should have been with you" So, if you haven't read 'Hopeless' yet, please do. It's an amazing and powerful story, with a great message, that you will remember forever and after that, I assure you will want to read 'Losing Hope'and fall in love with 'Dean Holder' all over again :) An emotional experience, deeply touching, it really gets under your skin, it's a story that captures your attention, keeps you engaged and surprises you. Unforgettable, It deserves all the stars in the 'Sky'ARC courtesy of Atria Books via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review
